Today i took a risky gamble to ride across the Nissho Pass,a total distance of about 85 km from Higashiurimaku. If i were to camp at Shimizu, it will be too early for me with only 45 km,and when i arrived there only at noon. Luckily, in Shimizu,there is a 7-11 store for me to stock up supply. So i took this calculated gamble try to complete the climb before dark,in worse case,i will stop at some abandoned shops or houses to camp.Camping in the middle of the Pass is definitely a no no . The climb was really tough and long, with several tunnels. This route 274 is really remote with absolutely nothing for 50 km, by the road side,thick snow still can be seen,so by hook or by crook i have to ride over ,and i am racing against time,so i made only one rest stop at the lookout point. There were lots of big trucks pilling on this road,and it is quite scary with narrow shoulder.But so far so good, the drivers are very considerate to give space or slowdown during cramp situations.I am glad to make it this far,although fell short of few km to reach the next town. I am camping at an abandoned restaurant tonight. It will be a very cold night.
