Today I am looking more like tourist than a bike tourer, as i am now in a beautiful region of Sounkyo with miles of rocky hills along route 39, and the autumn leafs of multi-colors up the mountains. I told myself today i just want to hang around this area and relax, and there is a national campsite nearby. So i have plenty of time, first i stop at the 7-11 shop to recharge my battery almost 2 hrs there, then i went to the Mt Kurodake hill station but did not try the rope way which charges 1850 yen up and down. Then i went to another attraction of Ryusei and Ginga Waterfalls, the waterfall running down from top of the rock hill was a little short of water, as now is not the rainy season. After mingle around with some of the tourists who came holiday by tour buses, the time is 3 pm, where i started to look for the campsite shown in the map. I missed the little signboard earlier on the way to the waterfalls, so i back track a little and managed to locate it. The entrance was not very obvious, and i needed to push my bike up a steep slope of about 150 m, again there wasn't anybody around, there is only one management house, a roof kitchen and a toilet. the kitchen pipes have no water but the lights are working, nevertheless the toilet has water and lights. So i set up my tent on the roof kitchen and boiled a pot of hot water to bathe in the toilet. So the place is quiet and just perfect for a night sleep.
