It was a big mistake to set my tent outside and not under the roof with cover last night. I never expected the night temp can dropped so drastically to 6C when i read my meter at midnight. I was really shivering inside my tent even with 2-3 layers of clothing and socks put on. With that in mind, I might need to purchase one more thicker jacket to keep warm, and for future camping, i better find places with roof cover to avoid the same from happening again. My tent outer layer was totally wet by the overnight moisture and luckily the sun came out early for me to dry it. It was already bright and sunny as i rolled out at 8, saying sayonara to my fellow camper, a local couple. still following route 275, the scenery looks very much the same all along,passing thru' towns of Urausu,Shin-totsukawa,Uryu,Hokuryu and finally at a very small train station in Fujiyama some 8 km before my targeted coastal town of Rumoi. The time was already quite late at 4 pm, the sunset early in Hokkaido and gets dark by 5.30 pm. I saw a small building seems abandoned ,when i turn in to check, it was a train station with a small room but big enough for me to camp,moreover there is nobody around, and the important thing is the power socket is working, so i can charge up all my gadgets, when i started fire up my stove to boil make a hot coffee and also use the hot water to wipe clean my body, all of the sudden, the train arrived but no one is getting down here, and a few more trains comes and goes, still no one is either getting in or out. I guess i just have to cook my dinner and sleep here, the train will stop running anyway. Tonight i am safe for the cold.
