An overnight 11.30 pm ferry crossing from Hakodate to Aomori ended my Hokkaido tour ,which lasted slightly more than a month including the 5 rest days in Muroran student hostel. Hokkaido have been great and wonderful for biking, and i really enjoy every moment of it, it will be much better if the weather were a little warmer. The reason i am taking the last ferry at 11.30 pm, is i wanted to do some sightseeing in the city instead of just riding pass. After confirming the port location, schedule and ticket, i went round the city on a slow pace looking for some interesting places to see. Goryokaku Historical park is very beautiful with lots of autumn color leafs,it is also a historical fort which marked the end of the Japanese Civil War. The other place is the Art Museum which i just wander from the outside before returning back to the port to purchase the ticket. The ticket for person and bike cost 2950 yen. Not many passenger on board as i can easily count with all my fingers. Nice to have a hot shower on deck. And not forgetting that today i have my first flat tire just before entering the double tunnel, thought it was the front flat and should be an easy job,and from naked eye,i could see the culprit ( thin steel wire ) poking into the tire, but when i try removing the inner tube, it was a hell lot of tough job as the ring wire seems to be smaller or contracted under cold weather.I needed 3 levers and broke 1 in the process of removing the inner tube, luckily when fixing it was a little easier.
