There were 3 good happenings today on otherwise a boring ride with nothing on scenery, but a rolling plain with a nasty strong head wind to talk about. The first good thing is, when i was stopping at a Selcomart for my regular rest,a local gentleman about my age, have a conversation with me, but he speaks no english,i brought out my little piece of Japanese phrase to help, he was delighted to see a Malaysian cyclist touring in his home country especially in Hokkaido, he went in the shop later and bought me an energy drink together with a cash of 3000 yen. Wow that is a great man!! Arigato Gozaimas!! With that extra money,i did spend more on today over 2219 yen which normally around 1200-1600 yen daily. The 2nd good thing is a very good campsite at the road station in Teshikaga, where the raise rounded hut is built close to a lake and a river with a lighted wooden bridge across, what a pity i didn't get to view the beautiful scenery as it was getting dark and busy in setting up tent. The 3rd good thing is, there is a FREE WiFi inside the road station, the 1st time i managed to read my mail and sent out some messages since leaving my warmshower Kenichi home in Atsubetsu on 25 Sept. Maybe i should add one more good thing is, for also the 1st time i had my feet dig in the foot onsen. What a feeling!! so nice, so wonderful!!
