Today Distance :69.5 km Total: 548.9 km
Today weather : 24-30c Sunny all day
Time on Bike : 53 min
Today spend :62000 Won Total :291600 Won
I woke up in the morning feeling very moody, as i knew 7 of us will have to go separate ways to 3 different destinations. Ivan and wife Annie will continue their journey taking a ferry from Busan to Shimonaseki in Japan. The other 4: Yong,Peter,Simon and Gerard will leave for Seoul on KTX train, while me will take a ferry to Jeju Island for a short tour before returning to Busan for my flight to Tokyo on 23/9. Hopefully Jeju will not be disappointing, as it is not cheap on the overnight ferry Seokyung Paradise cruise 47100 won one way.Actually I was almost given up on Jeju Island as the return tickets were already sold out on 21/9, but i was rather lucky to have the manager Kim's help to secure a return ticket on 21/9, and this is what Kim told me, as there are 500 ppl on waiting list. Thanks Kim, another fine example of Korean hospitality. I met another local tour cyclist on a trailer, he can't speak a word of English but he helped me to carry some of my panniers to the ferry, because all luggage have to remove and handcarry, while bike only allowed to push into the lower deck sharing with all other vehicles. The ship leave on time at 7 pm and arrived in Jeju next morning 7 am . A very enjoyable 12 hr journey with all the facilities you can find on board.
