I had a very nice sleep in my warm sleeping bag and tent last night, and woke up this morning to prepare my usual breakfast of instant noodles and a cup of hot coffee. While doing our packing up, Nabil and Bunny show up at 8 am cos' both were staying in the hotel about 15 km before our campsite. We started to roll out at 9, still sticking to the beautiful bike path along the river. The weather had been good so far, no rain and hot sun. Our target for today's ride is Chungju Dam which is about 90 km from our Ipubo camp. The riding on the bike path is very scenic but the downside is you missed passing the towns and thus less interaction with the locals, even then we still faced communication problem, and ended most of the time with sign and body language, especially ordering foods in the restaurant. We had our lunch in one of the small town where the restaurant landlady speaks some Mandarin, thats makes it lot more easier for us.By 4 pm,we were started looking for place to stay or camp, we stop at one place look like a pay camping ground, but were turn away refusing even for us to camp at the outside
camping platform. So we ride on continuing on the bike path, there was one colorful building as we were riding near, it could be a hotel but the sign were all in Korean language. We went in to check out, sure its a hotel. For the bargaining of cost, we leave it to Arnie to negotiate. It cost about 10000 Won per person for 2 rooms.I preferred to cook my own dinner of rice, fried ikan bilis and a can of tuna in Olive oil, while the rest opted for dinner by the hotel. We had some wonderful time of singing, with Danny and Simon playing the guitar belong to the hotel.
