It is fast becoming my norm to conduct a simulation ride a week before my oversea tour. So my way of simulation ride is testing the bike ( I have 2 recumbents ) and carry all the stuffs inside my 4 Ortlieb panniers + a saddle bag into the bike racks, and goes for a long ride, preferably with ascents and descents of hill and mountains. And this time around, I had chosen a simulation of ride and camp from Genting Sepah RnR downhill to Bentong and via a Chinese village of Sang Lee, famous for its musang king durian and nanga madu, and then a left turn at Tranum to the Fraser Gap for a total distance of 90 km.Ann Daim,a female season rider was brave enough to join me on this tough ride, and I would like to thank her for keeping me company. You are truly Amazing!!!. Another person i would like to say a big thank you is my best friend Mr Foo,who wanted to come along not cycling but driving my car to lend support. What are friend for !!!I am glad Ann and I made it to the Gap without the help of the support car, although I was soak cycling in the rain for the last 2-3 km before reaching the Gap at almost 6 pm.We did not even set up our tents as the restaurant owner allow us to sleep in the house, as it was raining quite heavy and it will surely be a very cold night sleeping outside. We ordered our Kari mee and fried mee as our dinner, before going to bed very very early at 8.50 pm.
