The overnight ferry from Busan arrived 6.30 am in Jeju coastal port, and straight I went to the Jeju Terminal tourist information center for the Jeju map in English version and also enquiry about my return ticket on 21/9, but the counter only open on 9 am. Able to update my blog with the free public wifi. With the map in hand, i spent sometime to study the routes and the attractions. There were 3 possible routes to choose, turn left or  right is the coastal road, go straight to the south is the nountain road and you can get very close to the highest peak in Jeju, Mt Hallasan standing right in the centre of the island at 1950m. For those who knows me well, knows I will go straight, simply because i love nature, forest, natinal park, greeneries and most important is easy to find camping. After 2 weeks of happy touring with 10 in a group, today on my 1st day riding solo in this beautiful island of Jeju. How i wish they can join me here. The climb started right from the ferry port on route 1131,then turn into 1117, the Korean call " Mystery  road " to know the mistery story, read the related picture . From the mistery road, joining another mountain road 1139 where you hit the highest road at 1100m. From here the downhill begin, and what a feeling!!! Awsome so smooth the road, just worth all the hard  climb, there were several lookout points on the southern end of the city Seogwipo. I did not continue downhill to the southern coast, i opted for a parallel road 1115 where the terrain is like a roller coastal ride, there is a campsite showing in the map which i am target to stay is Donnaeko which i managed to arrive 10 minutes before 6. There were already some local campers wiuth big family tents around, quickly i found a raise floor wooden platform to set up my tent and whatsmore, with a drinking fountain beside. After bathed, i cook my dinner of fried lunchern meet, ikan bilis with oniun goes with rice, of course nothing is complete without a cup of hot black coffee. The highlight for today is a kind local who saw me resting by the roadside and stop his car to give me 10000 won but refused to have his picture taken. He can't speak any english, but from his sign language, he meant the money is for me to eat and drink enough in order to have enough strength to cycle. Thanks my friend !!!
