Today we started a little early at 8 after we cooked our own breakfast. Everybody was very obedient to strictly follow the instruction set by the leader Nabil yesterday, as we plan to do 100 km hoping to reach the coastal town of Uljin. Still following route 59, the road is still a little downhill, but soon the climb started and it was really long. We saw the sign to Uljin is 150 km, an underestimation by our leader, so the ride to Uljin is definitely out, we set our target as next town of Danyang when we regroup at the top of the climb. After setting a new next stop of Danyang to everyone,we then enjoy a wonderful downhill before we hit the main road where the traffic is too much for comfort, luckily i have a rear mirror to at least know what is coming from the back. Me, Nabil and Bunny were in the front pack to reach Danyang, where we stop at a convenient shop to have a quick snack while waiting for the rest, the others arrived 20 minutes later but Gerald was lost somewhere as he massage Yong. Gerald finally show up one and a half hour later, he had done 17 km more than anyone of us. From Danyang, our next targeted town is YeongChun, where we visited The Odai Fortness, about 500 m off from the road. Then we proceed to have quick lunch at the supermarket in YeongChun. Immediately after lunch, we continue our journey to YeongWol, where targeted to camp at the Children camping ground. But eventually we saw a nice Homestay chalet owned by a local Korean who speaks quite well in Mandarin. We really love the resort-like wooden ancient hut. The price is very reasonable cheap costing about 10000 Won per head. We had a wonderful, delicious home cooked dinner and celebrated the day with Cass beer and karaoke with Yong playing the electric guitar with his iphone. We call it a day by 11pm as we plan to push off by 7.30 in the morning.
